The United States Mint is celebrating America250 with the release of its annual Proof American Silver Eagle, featuring two distinct additions that honor this milestone in American history. This mark consists of the Liberty Bell with 250 struck vertically along the bell.
The obverse of 2026-W Proof American Silver Eagles, you’ll find Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty design. This image shows the full-length figure of Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun on the horizon. Her figure is draped in the American flag, as her right hand extends toward the horizon and her left carries the branches of oak and laurel.
On the reverse of 2026-W 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle Coins, the mint features Emily Damstra’s depiction of the American bald eagle. Introduced in 2021, this image shows a mighty eagle in left-profile relief as it descends through the air with raised wings. In its talons, the eagle clutches a large oak branch.
